Dodgers Pitcher David Price Lists Massachusetts Mansion for $6.5M

Posted by: | Posted on: June 16, 2020

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher David Price is no stranger to wheeling and dealing when it comes to real estate.

Putting the Red Sox in his rear view, the lanky lefty recently put his Massachusetts mansion on the market for $6.5 million. The massive home went into pending sale status in no time.

Located less than 10 miles from Fenway Park, the custom-built residence in Newton measures 12,000 square feet, including seven bedrooms.

The grand entrance boasts French doors and a dramatic foyer with a remarkable double staircase. There are elevated ceilings and mahogany hardwood floors throughout. A lovely living room is highlighted by a fireplace and sits adjacent to a mahogany-paneled library/office.

On the upper level, you’ll find the master suite with spa bathroom. Four additional upstairs bedrooms offer plenty of room for guests or family.

Luxury amenities include a gym, home theater, wine cellar, and playroom. It’s situated on nearly 2 acres and boasts a massive backyard with lanai.

Price’s real estate portfolio include places in Nashville, TN, Naples, FL, and a desert mansion. The All-Star purchased an Arizona mansion earlier this year from Los Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton.

In early 2018, a trust associated with Price purchased a four-bedroom home in Naples, FL. The 6,600-square-foot mansion is located within an easy drive of Talis Park Golf Club.

In 2014, Price purchased a home in the Forest Hills area of Nashville, TN, for just under $4 million. Built in 2007, the nearly 10,000-square-foot home sits on over 2 acres.

Price, 34, reached the big leagues in 2008 with the Tampa Bay Rays, with whom he played for a little over six seasons and won the Cy Young Award in 2012. He helped lead the Red Sox to a World Series title in 2018, and in February, he was traded by the Red Sox to the Dodgers.

Beth Dickerson with Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty represents the Newton, MA, listing.
